The Restaurant l’Estany Casa de Fusta was born in 1988 when some friends met one day to have lunch at Lo Mas de la Cuixota and realized that there was no type of catering service in the area for the visitors who were beginning to arrive in the Ebro Delta. In this way, they began their business adventure, turning Lo Mas de la Cuixota into a small bar where they offered breakfasts and homemade food typical of the Ebro Delta. There was only a small bar, a small kitchen and about 5 tables.

Over the years, and with the arrival of tourism to the area, the restaurant started its first transformation, extending the dining room and the kitchen and opening a terrace with views over the Encanyissada Lagoon, right under a hundred-year-old eucalyptus tree.

Since then, more than 30 years have passed, where the Restaurant l’Estany Casa de Fusta has gone beyond catering and today offers other complementary services such as bicycle rental, cart rides, rowing boats, binocular rental, ecological cars, canoeing, picnic area…
