our traditions

A TRADITION

Our commitment: to offer you good gastronomy, but also to offer you a sample of how our ancestors lived, worked and cultivated the large areas of rice fields of the Ebro Delta. Currently, all rice production is practically industrialized, but not more than 50 years ago you could see groups of farmers cultivating these fields from spring to late summer. In this way, if you visit us, you will be able to get an idea of the hard work they did in their day to day lives.

Plantation Festival

Our most popular and traditional festival, to enjoy a Sunday with the family at Mas de la Cuixota of the Restaurant l’Estany Casa de Fusta. To remember our ancestors and how, with much effort and dedication, the groups of planters planted rice in every corner of the Ebro Delta and harvested it at the end of the summer.

With this tradition, we aim to make known how this work was done in the Ebro Delta a few decades ago, how hard it was and the days it took to plant the rice fields of the Delta.

Harvest Festival

Also popular and traditional, the Plantada Festival in a less touristy time allows you to enjoy a quiet Sunday with your family at Mas de la Cuixota of the Restaurant l’Estany Casa de Fusta. To remember our ancestors and how, with a lot of effort and dedication, they reaped the fruits of so much effort.

With this tradition, we aim to make known how this work was done in the Ebro Delta a few decades ago, how hard it was.
